<p>The invention comprises haloallyl methanethiosulphonates of formula: CXY=CZ-CH2-S-SO2-CH3 where X, Y and Z are each hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, at least one being chlorine or bromine. They are prepared by reacting a halogenated allyl halide CXY=CZ-CH2 Hal with a salt of methanethiosulphonic acid. A solvent may be used. The products are pesticides (see Division A5).ALSO:Fungicidal and nematocidal compositions comprise haloallyl methanethiosulphonates of formula CXY=CZ-CH2-S-SO2-CH3 where X, Y and Z are each hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, at least one being chlorine or bromine (for preparation see Division C2). Fungicidal compositions may be in the form of dusts, dispersions or solutions.</p> |
