<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosis technique capable of further appropriately determining a deterioration state of a power cable connecting part. <P>SOLUTION: The method for diagnosing the deterioration of the power cable connecting part: collects silicone oil deteriorated by successive use of the connecting part of a crosslinked polyethylene insulation cable; analyses the collected silicone oil by an infrared spectroscopic analysis; and estimates the intensity of discharge energy in the connecting part based on the height of an absorption peak Pk unique to a deteriorated substance derived from a structure that is generated by the deterioration of the silicone oil so as to determine the deterioration state of the connecting part. Specifically, the method determines the deterioration based on a ratio (HPk/HPb) of the height HPk of the absorption peak Pk unique to the deteriorated substance to the height HPb of a base absorption peak Pb derived from the structure that is not changed by the successive use of the connection part out of the structure of the silicone oil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
