<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repair a local defect of a thin film solar cell without spoiling the beauty. <P>SOLUTION: A tool for repairing defect rotates while being held by a chuck provided in the head of a processing device, and insulates and separates a local defect occurred in a thin film solar cell. The tool for repairing defect has a shank 35 and a cutting edge 36. The shank 35 is formed on one end side of the tool and is held by a chuck 16. The cutting edge 36 is formed on the other end side of the tool and has a blade 36a for processing at the tip of the tool.
