<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which sets easily a butted angle of rails and holds its state, when welding the rails. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of rails R, R are arranged so that the end surfaces thereof are made to face each other, and a foundation bed 4 fixed to a fixed body 6 such as a crosstie made from concrete is arranged at a symmetrical position, in which the rail is made to be a symmetrical axis, of both the sides of the end portion of the each rail R. Moreover, a swing frame 12 is pivotally fixed to the foundation bed 4 to be swingable in a lateral axis, and an inclined bolt 1 which presses the lower surface of the head of the rail R is provided on the swing frame 12 to be movable forward and backward to the lower surface of the head.
