<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a liquid jet apparatus capable of supplying a moisturizer into a cap with a simple structure and capable of precisely controlling the amount of the moisturizer to be supplied into the cap. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid jet apparatus includes: a liquid jet head 3 having a nozzle surface 3a formed thereon for ejecting a liquid droplet toward a medium; a cap 16 sealing the nozzle surface 3a when the liquid jet head 3 is in a prescribed sleep state not ejecting the liquid droplet toward the medium to prevent evaporation of the moisture content of the liquid in the nozzle; a moisturizer supply unit 18 including a moisturizer tank storing the moisturizer for moisturizing the inside of the cap 16; a carriage 4 on which the liquid jet head 3 is mounted and which is movable in a width direction of the medium; and an actuation member 25 performing the actuation by using the moving action of the carriage 4.
