<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light-emitting pointer enabling pointer illumination with good appearance. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting pointer comprises a translucent member 1 equipped with a rotation base portion 12 having a light-receiving portion 121 for receiving light from a light source, and a longitudinal pointer portion 11 which is brilliant by the light from the light-receiving portion 121; a cover member 2 which has a first cover portion 21 having a first opening portion 211 opening to a back side and covering the periphery of the rotation base portion 12, and a longitudinal second cover portion 22 having a see-through window 221 enabling the visually confirmation of a front surface of the pointer portion 11, a pair of side wall portion 222 for covering both side surface in a rotating direction of the translucent member 1, and a second opening portion 223 opening to a back surface side between the side wall portions 222, and covering the pointer portion 11; and a shielding member 3 which has a first shielding portion 31 for covering the first opening portion 211, and a second shielding portion 32 for covering the second opening portion 223.
