HEAT-EXPANDABLE NONWOVEN FABRIC

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-expandable nonwoven fabric capable of being used for a resin-fiber composite material which is lighter in weight and especially high in flexural strength.

SOLUTION: The heat-expandable nonwoven fabric comprises: glass fibers and organic fibers as main components and is made by a wet process. The heat-expandable nonwoven fabric comprises a core layer and a surface layer provided on one side or both sides of the core layer. The fineness of a binder fiber contained in the surface layer is 150% or more and 300% or less of the fineness of a binder fiber contained in the core layer. In addition, heat-expandable microcapsules are contained in the core layer.
