The invention relates to a method for mounting a shaft (18), in particular an output shaft of a windscreen wiper drive (10), in a bearing housing (15) using an eccentric bush (25; 25a) forming a bearing bush for the shaft (18), wherein by twisting the eccentric bush (25; 25a), which is inserted into a receiving opening (26) of the bearing housing (15), about its bush axis, an aligning of the shaft (18) takes place, wherein the aligning of the shaft (18) takes place with the eccentric bush (25; 25a) introduced with only a partial length into the receiving opening (26) of the bearing housing (15), and wherein the eccentric bush (25; 25a) after the aligning is anchored by a press fit in an axial final position in the receiving opening (26) of the bearing housing (15). According to the invention, provision is made that on displacing of the eccentric bush (25; 25a) out from its aligning position into its final position between the eccentric bush (25; 25a) and the bearing housing (15) an additional torque-proof connection (41) is formed.
