<p>Provided is a method of manufacturing a polarizing plate with adequate thermal resistance without deterioration in ability of a polarizing film to be stained, etc., or requiring a step of transfer or detachment of the polarizing film. A method of manufacturing a polarizing plate (10), wherein a polarizing film which is formed from a polyvinyl alcohol resin is layered upon a polyester resin substrate (11), comprises the steps of: elongating a layered body wherein a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer (12) is formed upon the polyester resin substrate (11); staining the polyvinyl alcohol resin substrate (12); and crystallizing the polyester resin substrate (11). The crystallization step is carried out after the staining step.</p> |
