摘要 PURPOSE: A device and method for measuring a movement of a molten steel surface unit are provided to reduce errors generated when measuring a movement of a molten steel surface unit and to quantize data related to the movement of the molten steel surface unit by preciously measuring the movement according to a position of the molten steel surface unit. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring a movement of a molten steel surface unit comprises a support body(100), a first level sensor unit(200), a second level sensor unit, a driving unit(400), and a calculation unit. The first level sensor unit is installed in the support body, thereby measuring a height of a molten steel surface unit on a real time basis. The second level sensor unit is installed to be moved along a longitudinal direction of the support body in the support body, thereby measuring the height of the molten steel surface unit on a real time basis. The driving unit drives the second level sensor unit. The calculation unit calculates the movement of the molten steel surface unit in a moving section of the second level sensor unit by using the height of the molten steel surface unit measured by the first and second level sensor units.
