WAVELENGTH PATH REARRANGEMENT METHOD AND UPPER LAYER PATH REARRANGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of wavelengths including an available wavelength (the number of use wavelength regions) in the wavelength regions used in a communication network, and communication device costs.

SOLUTION: A wavelength path rearrangement method in a path rearrangement device rearranging a wavelength path set in a communication network has: a wavelength path design step in which a wavelength path design part designs the wavelength path of a rearrangement destination by calculating so that the number of use wavelength regions in the communication network is smaller than that before the rearrangement; and a wavelength path setting step in which a wavelength path setting part changes the wavelength path of a rearrangement object to the wavelength path of the rearrangement destination by an available wavelength.
