PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal, control method therefor, communication system, and server therefor capable of acquiring position information only when the communication terminal is moved.

SOLUTION: A communication terminal 1 related to the present invention includes: a position information acquisition part 11 for acquiring position information being the information concerning the position of the communication terminal; a communication control part 12 for communicating with one base station 10 existing in a communicable range; and a control part 13 for detecting the change of the base station for communicating with the communication control part 12, and controlling the position information acquisition part 11 to acquire position information.
