<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental alginate impression material having excellent moisture retention and small reduction in impression accuracy even if a cured material is allowed to stand for many hours after impression collection in comparison with a conventional dental alginate impression material. <P>SOLUTION: The dental alginate impression material comprises an alginate, a gelling reactant, and a nonreducing sugar, and comprises 1-20 pts.mass of the nonreducing sugar based on 1 pt.mass of the alginate.
