<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that prevents the occurrence of glossy stripes when a large-sized sheet is passed after small-sized sheets are continuously passed, and an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a fixing member for fixing an unfixed image to a sheet, and a pressuring member for press-contacting a sheet; and at least one of the fixing member and the pressuring member is a rotor. The fixing device heats and applies pressure to an unfixed image so that the image is fixed to a sheet at a press-contact portion between the fixing device and the pressuring device. At least an outer diameter of both ends of the rotor is made larger than an outer diameter of the center part of the rotor within the maximum paper width of the rotor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
