METHOD AND DUAL-CARD DUAL-STANDBY TERMINAL FOR REALIZING CALLING AND REGISTRATION OF DUAL-CARD DUAL-STANDBY TERMINAL

Methods for realizing calling and registration of a dual-card dual-standby terminal, wherein one method includes that the dual-card dual-standby terminal initiates a calling utilizing a first User Identity Module (UIM); if a registration for a second UIM card is sent to a base station by the terminal during a calling establishing process, the terminal continues the calling establishing after accomplishing the registration. A dual-card dual-standby terminal is also provided by the present invention, and the terminal includes a paging unit and a registration unit. With the present invention, when the calling and registration occurs concurrently, the resources can be assigned reasonably on the condition of being in the dual-standby state on a same paging channel, and the whole system is guaranteed to operate under the steady and high efficiency status.
