<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an air conditioner for a railroad vehicle capable of stably forming an air curtain to cut off an atmosphere in a cabin from outside air by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the railroad vehicle includes: a cabin air conditioning flow path 20C which is formed at a ceiling 10R to condition air in a cabin 10 and through which an air flow blown from an air conditioner 25 passes; a branch flow path 20D formed at the ceiling 10R and branched from the air conditioning flow path 20C to extend to the boarding/alighting door 30 of the end of the cabin 10; and a flow path switching means SW for switching communication and cut-off between the air conditioning flow path 20C and the branch flow path 20D at the ceiling 10R. The branch flow path 20D has a blow-out port 20Da disposed in the upper part of the boarding/alighting door 30 to blow out air from the air conditioner 25c, and the flow path switching means SW makes the cabin air conditioning flow path 20C communicate with the branch flow path 20D in conjunction with the opening operation of the boarding/alighting door 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
