<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical position detection device and an apparatus with a position detection function wherein light-emitting elements are provided at a prescribed position when a method is adopted which detects the position of an object to be targeted by utilizing detection light emitted from a plurality of the light-emitting elements mounted on the curved flexible substrate. <P>SOLUTION: In a light source part 20 of the optical position detection device, a plurality of light-emitting elements 30 are mounted on a belt-like flexible substrate 40 and each of the plurality of the light-emitting elements 30 emits detection light L2. Since the flexible substrate 40 is disposed by being overlapped on a convex surface 55 of a substrate support member 50, an end part of the flexible substrate 40 can be inserted into notches 511b, 521b when the flexible substrate 40 is too long.
