<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle brake system that is capable of enhancing a degree of freedom of layout. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle brake system 10 is configured such that an input device 14 into which braking operation of the operator is input and a motor cylinder device 16 (electric brake actuator) which generates hydraulic brake pressure on the basis of an electric signal according to at least the braking operation are disposed to be separated from each other in the engine room R (loading chamber of power device) partitioned in front of the dashboard 2.
