<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply which performs control to prevent excessive current from flowing. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply stops only the drive of the power supply without stopping the drive of an apparatus body to which the power supply is connected when power source phase is not discriminated due to variation of power supply frequency. The drive of the power supply is restored when the power source phase is discriminated again after the power supply has been stopped. A discrimination operation of the power source phase is performed repeatedly while the drive of the power supply is stopped, thereby preventing the power supply from being activated at a timing not intended to flow excessive current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
