摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-continuous casting method of hollow ingots, which is a further cost-effective method for manufacturing hollow ingots, concerning a casting of hollow ingots utilized for manufacturing a large diameter casing or pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: providing a mold comprising a mold center 810 having an inner pipe 300 and an outer pipe 200 arranged to form an annular space for a cooling media and an outer mold 820; circulating the cooling media in the annular space 400; feeding a source material to the mold; heating the source material to produce a molten material; moving the mold center progressively downward relative to the outer mold; and solidifying the molten material to form a hollow ingot, thereby providing an apparatus for semi-continuous casting of hollow ingots, the method for semi-continuous casting of hollow ingots, and hollow ingot products, which are further cost-effective. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
