<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire improved in low fuel consumption, steering stability, wet skid performance, wear resistance, cut and chip resistance and processability, all in good balance; and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tire includes a rubber component, first silica and second silica having an average primary particle diameter smaller than that of the first silica, where the rubber component contains butadiene rubber modified with a compound expressed by formula (1), and the difference of average primary particle diameter between the first silica and the second silica is 2 nm or more, wherein in formula, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>each identically or differently represents an alkyl group, alkoxy group, silyloxy group, acetal group, carboxy group, mercapto group or derivatives thereof; R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>each identically or differently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; and m denotes an integer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
