<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system that can automatically track and image an intruder into a monitored area, and even when a plurality of intruders intrude simultaneously, can image all the plurality of intruders. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring system 5 includes a monitoring apparatus 3 and a display device 6. The monitoring apparatus 3 has: wide angle cameras 11A, 11B for imaging a predetermined monitored area 4; a telephoto camera 12A for, when a moving object is included in pickup images captured by the wide angle cameras 11A, 11B, automatically tracking and imaging the moving object to acquire an enlarged image 300 of the moving object and display it on the display device 6; and a telephoto camera 12B capable of being remote-controlled by an operator to acquire an image of a desired region in the monitored area 4 and display it on the display device 6 independently of the wide angle cameras 11A, 11B and the telephoto camera 12A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
