<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which comprises transfer means suppressing shape deformations of a conductive resin sheet as a transfer member no matter what usage conditions of the image forming apparatus are and is capable of suppressing image defects of vertical streaks generated by transfer unevenness in the longitudinal direction. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises transfer means 10 including a sheet transfer member 101 which presses, in order to transfer a toner image on an image carrier to a moving image reception member, the image reception member on the opposite side of the toner image transfer side. The transfer means 10 comprises support means 104 which supports the sheet transfer member 101 in such a manner that the sheet transfer member 101 can move in the longitudinal direction of the sheet transfer member 101 orthogonal to the upstream side and the downstream side in the image reception member movement direction and the movement direction of the image reception member, and regulation means 110-112 and 113-115 for regulating the movement of the sheet transfer member 101 after the movement of the image reception member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
