A control device for an electric vehicle is provided with: a converter circuit (20) for converting a voltage input from an external power source into DC having a specified value and outputting the voltage to a power storage unit (50); an inverter circuit (70) which receives the supply of any power from the external power source or the power storage unit (50) and converts the power to AC having a specified value; a converter controller (30) for controlling the converter circuit (20) based on an abnormal state detection result of the converter circuit (20), and generating a protection state signal based on the detection result; and an inverter controller (80) for controlling the inverter circuit (60) in response to an abnormal state when the protection state signal is input and indicates that the converter circuit (20) is in an abnormal state. |
