<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method, and program that can investigate a dual stack terminal including an application program not supporting IPv6 and perform a DNS response with an adequate resource record for the terminal. <P>SOLUTION: When a dual stack terminal 11 performs a name resolution request to a DNS server 12, a gateway 13 replies to the dual stack terminal 11 so that a resource record which the DNS server 12 responds with is restricted by referring to a resource record control policy table 13c. Thereby, an adequate communication of the dual stack terminal 11 is ensured.
