<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic power saving operation method for obtaining high power saving effect without causing packet loss in a packet relay device having a power saving function. <P>SOLUTION: The packet relay device calculates a necessary band by determining a link connected with an authenticated communication terminal and actually performing communication based on the results of network authentication of a communication terminal connected with a network, and then totalizing the port bands of a link performing communication. High power saving effect and a packet relay device causing no packet loss even if the power saving function is effective can be obtained by selecting a power saving mode optimal for the necessary band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
