<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control lever in a steering device, in which a knob can be easily and rapidly mounted to the lever and furthermore very firmly mounted to the lever. <P>SOLUTION: A control lever comprises: a lever body A which has a tapered insertion part 1 having a sawtooth locking part 11 and of which vertical dimension decreases gradually; and a control knob B which has a tapered insertion hole 3 of which vertical dimension decreases gradually from an opening 3a toward a deep end wall face 3b. The insertion hole 3 is comprised of tapered reference planes 31 vertically facing each other. In corner places between both tapered reference planes 31 and inside surfaces 32 in the insertion hole 3 of the control knob B, groove streaks 33 projecting outward more than respective tapered reference planes 31 are formed respectively from the opening 3a to the deep end wall face 3b.
