<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can opener by which there is no fear that a square can is inclined to spill a content and the can falls, injury by a remainder of a top plate is prevented and work can be easily performed for a short time while time and effort of wiping work of a cutting blade is alleviated. <P>SOLUTION: The can opener includes an engagement member (1) engaged with a square can (C), a supporting shaft (2) made nearly parallel to a top plate (T) and nearly orthogonal to a straight side (Ta) in plan view when the engagement member is engaged, a cutting blade (3) to be a plate-shaped body nearly right and left symmetrically formed in a leaf shape, in which blade portions (31 and 32) are formed in right and left both side edge parts, a cutting edge portion (33) is formed in a lower end part (3c) where the blade portions (31 and 32) are unified and an upper end part (3d) side is bent in an arc shape in a plate thickness direction to form a nearly j-shape in side view corresponding to a peripheral edge shape of the top plate as a whole, and rocking around the supporting shaft (2) and a holding portion (4) connected to the cutting blade (3) and protruding to an upper part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
