<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liner for the production of an optical functional film, which can produce an optical functional film having a configuration comprising an alignment layer containing a photo-aligning material and an optical functional layer containing a liquid crystal material, layered in this order on a transparent substrate, and having excellent flatness. <P>SOLUTION: The liner for the production of an optical functional film is used for producing an optical functional film including an alignment layer containing a photo-aligning material and an optical functional layer containing a liquid crystal material, layered in this order on a transparent substrate.
