<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a liquid jet apparatus capable of supplying a moisturizer into a cap with a simple structure and capable of precisely controlling the amount of the moisturizer to be supplied into the cap. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid jet apparatus includes: a liquid jet head 3 having a nozzle surface 3a formed thereon for ejecting a liquid droplet toward a medium; a cap 12 sealing the nozzle surface 3a when the liquid jet head 3 is in a sleep state to prevent evaporation of a moisture content of the liquid in the nozzle; a moisturizer supply unit 15 including a moisturizer tank storing the moisturizer for moisturizing the inside of the cap 12; a moving mechanism moving the cap 12 between a sealing position 12A and a retreat position 12B; and an actuation member 22 performing the actuation by using the moving action of the cap 12.
