<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the comfort, hygiene, effectiveness, and potential invasive effects of a stoma device. <P>SOLUTION: This ostomy appliance includes: an adhesive member for removably securing the ostomy appliance to a human skin having a stoma, the adhesive member having a stoma opening; and an elastomeric sealing member for sealing the inner circumference of the adhesive member around the stoma opening, and protecting the adhesive member from the contact with stomal discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
