METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NEGOTIATING SECURITY POLICY IN NGN

Disclosed are a method and a system for negotiating security policy in a Next Generation Network (NGN). The method includes: after a Security Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) receives a connection request message sent by User Equipment (UE)in the NGN to which it belongs, sending a policy query request message to a Security Policy Server (SPS) in the NGN to which it belongs and requesting to query a security policy related to the policy query request message; and returning by the SPS the queried security policy to the PEP for enforcement by way of a policy query response. The present invention satisfies the demand for security policy management in the NGN.
