<p>Embodiments presented in the present invention relate to the field of instant messaging. Disclosed is an IM message display method and a device that enables an image to be processed having a size larger than the size of an IM software container can be adapted to the size of the container, so that the IM software can readily display the entirety of an image having an original size larger than the size of the container. The method comprises: when the size of an image to be processed is larger than the size of a container, the display size of the image to be processed is configured to be not larger than the size of the container; and, the image to be processed is rendered according to the configured display size. The present invention is applicable to the display of IM software messages.</p> |
