The invention relates to an arrangement for sealing off a piston rod (105), which moves substantially rectilinearly in a reciprocating manner with respect to a passage opening, of a reciprocating-piston machine (100), having a sealing means (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) which surrounds the piston rod (105) and which is in the form of an internally clamping seal ring (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) which is arranged in the region of the passage opening so as to be substantially positionally fixed with respect to a seal housing (4, 5), wherein at least two seal rings (8a, 8b) are provided which are mounted in the seal housing (4, 5) so as to be movable in a radial direction (3b), in particular in a floating fashion, and between at least two seal rings (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) there is arranged a spacer device (9a, 9b, 9c) which, radially at the outside, is guided in the seal housing (4, 5) without play or with a small amount of play and which, radially at the inside, has a radially greater amount of play with respect to the piston rod (105) and does not make contact with the piston rod (105), in particular is arranged spaced apart from the piston rod (105), so as to form, together with the seal rings (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) and the piston rod (105), an accumulation chamber (10a, 10b, 10c) for medium to be sealed off, for example for oil, and the spacer ring (9a, 9b, 9c) has at least one passage (14) for discharging medium out of the accumulation chamber (10a, 10b, 10c). |
