摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device using a phosphor having good temperature characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device comprises a light-emitting element emitting light having a wavelength of 250 to 500 nm, and a phosphor layer arranged on the light-emitting element. The phosphor layer contains a phosphor having a composition represented by formula (A) and having an emission peak from the wavelength of 490 nm to the wavelength of 580 nm when excited with light having a wavelength of 250-500 nm, and having diffraction peaks simultaneously at diffraction angles (2&theta;) of 11.81 to 11.85&deg;, 15.34 to 15.39&deg;, 20.40 to 20.47&deg;, and 23.74 to 23.86&deg; in X-ray diffraction using CuK&alpha; characteristic X-ray(wavelength 1.54056&angst;).
