PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to promptly retrieve a desired rhyming word with a simple operation.

SOLUTION: A rhyming word search device comprises: a dictionary function for storing character string information to which vowel information and nasal information is added; a character string information display function for displaying the character string information from the dictionary function or input character string information; a reading number display function for displaying information on the number of readings for the displayed character string information; a position information designation input function for designating and inputting a desired position information with respect to the displayed reading number information; a position information changeable function for making the position information changeable to the designated and input position information; a retrieve function for retrieving from the dictionary function character string information that matches vowel information or nasal information on a reading of a character corresponding to the position information and the position information designated and input at corresponding position referring to this changeable position information; and an output display function for outputting and displaying the retrieved character string information.
