<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small commutator. <P>SOLUTION: A commutator 8 for an electric motor includes: a commutator body part 81 formed of resin to have an approximately columnar shape; a plurality of plate-shaped commutator pieces 82 formed of a conductive material and fixedly arranged on the outer peripheral face of the commutator body part 81 at approximately equal pitches in the circumferential direction; and risers 83 which are integrally formed at one ends of the plurality of commutator pieces 82, respectively, folded back toward the other ends of the commutator pieces 82 and extended, and facing the commutator pieces 82 and around which a coil wire W of the electric motor is wound.
