<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a circuit to process a sample of a signal for emulating the effect on the signal, for performing simulation, or for modeling. <P>SOLUTION: An emulation circuit may generate a representation of signal conversion of the real world by processing a signal according to one or more signal processing parameters that characterize the signal conversion of the real world. The emulation circuit can apply a signal with an analogue signal process and/or a mixed signal process. The signal process may include a step for sending a signal to two signal paths having a different delay, and a step for generating the sum of outputs from the two signal paths, which is the sum being weighted. The signal process may further, or alternatively, include a step for routing a signal so that it passes a network of delay element.
