This liquid crystal panel comprises an active matrix substrate(2) which involves a pixel electrode (17) that is arranged corresponding to a pixel, a transistor and an insulating film (25), a counter substrate (3) that is so arranged as to face the active matrix substrate (2), and a liquid crystal layer (4) which is arranged between the substrates (2, 3), wherein the pixel involves a non-reflective part in which light that enters the pixel electrode (17) through the liquid crystal layer (4) reaches the insulating film (25) and the pixel electrode (17) and one electrically conductive electrode (27) of the transistor are electrically connected to each other through a contact hole (11) that penetrates through the insulating film (25), and wherein a peripheral part of the contact hole (11) corresponds to the non-reflective part and a light-shielding film (33) that is superimposed on the entire surface of the bottom of the contact hole (1) is formed in the counter substrate (3). This constitution enables the prevention of the leakage of light, which may be caused by the disturbance of orientation in the vicinity of the contact hole (11), while ensuring a desired aperture ratio.
