Disclosed is an optical device, which is provided with a movable body that holds a photographing lens, and a fixed body that movably holds the movable body, and which is capable of suitably moving the movable body even if the size of the device is reduced. An optical device (1) is provided with: a movable body (2), which holds a photographing lens; a fixed body (3), which movably holds the movable body (2); a drive magnet (13) and a drive coil (14) for relatively moving the movable body (2) with respect to the fixed body (3); and metal members (10, 17), which are fixed to the drive magnet (13). A nickel plating layers are formed on the surface of the drive magnet (13) and the surfaces of the metal members (10, 17). Furthermore, the drive magnet (13) and the metal members (10, 17) are composed of tin-based metal, and the drive magnet (13) and the metal members (10, 17) are bonded to each other with bonding layers (15, 18) disposed between the magnet and the members.
