Air-cavity with protective structure against cavitation

PURPOSE: An air chamber having a structure for preventing cavitation is provided to prevent damage of a propeller or a rudder due to cavitation by reducing air flowing out to the propeller or the rudder. CONSTITUTION: An air chamber having a structure for preventing cavitation comprises multiple longitudinal barriers and multiple transverse barriers. The longitudinal barriers are projected from the bottom of a ship. The transverse barriers interconnect the longitudinal barriers to form a space for accommodating air. The air chamber comprises a first air chamber(110) and a second air chamber(120). The first air chamber is formed in a position which is separated from a longitudinal center line of the ship at a predetermined gap. The second air chamber is formed in the opposite side to have symmetrical structure with the first air chamber based on the longitudinal center line.
