<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production line work instruction system in which even after a vehicle passes steps, component mount contents can be easily confirmed to workers, thereby improving work efficiency and when any abnormality occurs in the production line work instruction system, the abnormality can be handled on early stage and with high work efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A production line work instruction system includes a plurality of work instruction printers 60, a line management PC 18b which creates print data and transmits the print data, and a portable terminal 20. When any abnormality occurs in a work instruction printer 60, the work instruction printer 60 in which the abnormality occurs notifies the abnormality to the line management PC 18b. Upon receiving a notification of the abnormality, the line management PC 18b notifies the abnormality to the portable terminal 20 by radio.
