<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform data transfer more suitably when a host device and device apparatus are connected to each other through a connector having a plurality of independent data buses. <P>SOLUTION: A communication control unit includes a first interface for connecting with a removable recording medium; a second interface for connecting with an external device including a first bus controlled by a first controller and a second bus controlled by a second bus controller and having a slower maximum transfer speed than the first bus; determination means of determining a data transfer speed of the removable recording medium when the removable recording medium is connected to the first interface; and control means of performing control so as to establish a connection with the external device through the first bus when the data transfer speed determined by the determination means exceeds a predetermined threshold, and performing control so as to establish a connection with the external device through the second bus when the data transfer speed is equal to or less than the predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
