<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abnormal noise due to vibration of an oil level gauge and to improve visibility of the oil level, while improving insertability of the oil level gauge. <P>SOLUTION: An oil level detecting device 13 of an engine 1 is provided with: a space section 27 formed inside a guide hole 24 to store the oil level gauge 14 linearly into an oil pan 6, a bulged section 30 arranged below the space section 27, an inclined wall section that inclines at a specific angle to the inserting direction of the oil level gauge 14 and formed on the bulged section 30, and a vertical wall section that curves and extends from the inclined wall section toward a bottom section 8 of the oil pan 6 and apart from the oil level gauge 14. The inclined wall section comes into contact only with the tip end section of the oil level gauge 14, while the oil level gauge 14 is inserted into or drawn out from the oil pan 6, and the vertical wall section comes into contact between the tip end section 18 of the oil level gauge 14 and an index that indicates a low liquid level, while the oil level gauge 14 is completely inserted into the oil pan 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
