<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of improving light utilization efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 4 is provided with an arc tube 51 in which a first electrode 52A and a second electrode 52B are arranged inside a discharge space D, a main reflecting mirror 6 which is arranged on the first electrode 52A side and reflects luminous flux R0 emitted from the discharge space D to the second electrode 52B side at a main reflection surface 61, a first sub-reflecting mirror 7 which is arranged on the second electrode 52B side and reflects luminous flux R1 that is emitted from the discharge space toward a first reflecting surface 71, to the first electrode 52A side at the first reflecting surface 71 by avoiding the discharge space D, a second sub-reflecting mirror 8 which is arranged on the first electrode 52A side and reflects the luminous flux R1 that is reflected at the first reflecting surface 71, to the second electrode 52B side at a second reflecting surface 81, and a third sub-reflecting mirror 9 which is arranged on the second electrode 52B side and reflects luminous flux R2 reflected at the second reflecting surface 81, same as the main reflecting surface 61, at a third reflecting surface 91. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
