<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid from being accumulated on a liquid receiving part. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid ejector comprising a head 31 having a nozzle array where nozzles are arranged in the array direction, and a liquid receiving part 36 which receives a liquid ejected by flushing operation of a head that is located at a first position in the array direction and performs flushing operation by ejecting a liquid from each nozzle belonging to the nozzle array.
