<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable microscope. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to an operator control unit which is used with a microscope and configured to select and/or adjust at least one electrically controllable function of the microscope. The operator control unit includes at least one sensor (20) for inputting a user control command which enables activation, deactivation and/or adjustment of the at least one electrically controllable function. The at least one sensor (20) is designed as a touch sensor and the operator control unit is configured to be able to be carried with one hand.
