<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to suppress refill delay with a method different from the conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: A printing device for carrying out printing with ink supplied from L pieces of ink cartridges in which ink of the same hue is accommodated. The printing device includes a print head with a plurality of nozzle rows where a plurality of nozzles are arrayed in a sub scanning direction. The print head includes a first nozzle group of L×(a) nozzle rows having correlation on printing, in which the positions of the respective nozzles in the sub scanning direction are the same, and which receive supply of the ink from each of the L pieces of cartridges by (a) rows, and a second nozzle group which comprises L×(b) pieces of nozzle rows in which the positions of the nozzles in the sub-scanning direction differ from those of the first nozzle group and nozzle rows which receive supply of the ink from each of the L pieces of cartridges by (b) pieces. A control unit performs control to limit the number of nozzles to eject the ink at the same time, in each nozzle row of (a)+(b) to which the ink is supplied from each of L pieces of cartridges. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
