<p>In a power conversion apparatus configured such that cooling of switching elements thereof is conducted using an ebullient-cooling apparatus that utilizes a boiling phenomenon of a coolant contained therein, an inverter control unit (23), which controls the switching elements (Su-Sz) by generating a gate command that can stabilize boiling of the coolant, is provided with: a modulation-mode selection unit (17) for evaluating the stability of the cooling apparatus on the basis of an element-temperature estimation value, which is an estimated temperature value of the switching elements (Su-Sz), and determining and selecting, on the basis of the evaluated result, a modulation mode (PM) for controlling the switching elements (Su-Sz); and a gate command generating unit (18) for generating a gate command (G) on the basis of the modulation mode (PM) selected by the modulation-mode selection unit (17).</p> |
