<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of electrolytic corrosion in a wet treatment process, for example, in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-optical device includes: a substrate (10); a scan line (11) and a data line (6) provided in a pixel region (10a) on the substrate; a pixel electrode (9) provided on an upper layer side of the scan line and the data line corresponding to an intersection of the scan line and the data line and made of a transparent conductive material; a storage capacitor electrode (71) provided so as to be opposed to the pixel electrode through a capacitor insulating film (72) in a layer between the pixel electrode and the scan line and the data line; an additional capacitor (600) which has a first capacitor electrode (610) made of the same layer as the pixel electrode and a second capacitor electrode (620) made of the same layer as the storage capacitor electrode and electrically connected to the data line, and is provided in a region between an outer periphery of the pixel region and an outer periphery of the substrate; and a terminal (106) provided in the region, electrically connected to the first capacitor electrode, and made of the same layer as the pixel electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
